ABOUT US
What we are doing at St. Bede's is worshiping God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost in the way our forefathers worshipped for over one thousand years. Every seven days this worship prepares Christians to cope with a fallen world and "to go forth in peace, to love and serve the Lord."
St. Bede's Anglican is the oldest Continuing Anglican Church in Alabama. The Continuing Anglican movement traces its roots in Alabama to the founding of St. Bede's Church in 1977 by the Rev. Canon William Marvin.
St. Bede's is a Parish of the Diocese of the Holy Cross, using the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, and the 1940 Hymnal. We strive to continue in the worship of the early, undivided Church, we preach Jesus Christ, and live His Gospel. We invite you to join us for our weekly Sunday services.
